National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)

NCSC is the government’s National Technical Authority for cyber security. It helps businesses, the public sector and individuals protect the online services and devices that we all depend on.

The NCSC acts as a bridge between industry and government, providing a unified source of advice, guidance and support on cyber security, including the management of cyber security incidents.

The NCSC offers advice and guidance for everyone, from those wanting to protect their home computers, to large organisations looking to mitigate malware attacks. They have a large range of resources containing advice and guidance on all things cyber security.

Practitioners working with 11–14 year olds can use these materials to build on the subjects and start conversations with students about online security. The activities will help students to get an actionable understanding about how to keep themselves more secure online, including identifying scams, managing devices, and protecting personal information.
