This week has been a busy week for our training team with the delivery of our Introduction to the Protection of Cultural Venues at three cultural venues.
The team have travelled to the Laing Gallery in Newcastle and the Cooper Gallery and Cannon Hall in Barnsley to deliver cultural protection training to their front of house and security staff. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to visit a variety of venues across the UK. Each venue has a unique style, and we love to capture the purpose and assets of each venue within our training programmes.
When we deliver training at cultural venues, like the museums and galleries we visited this week, we engage delegates in several scenario activities in the exhibition spaces. This way, we can put the knowledge and case studies discussed in the session into practice regarding the role they play for the cultural venue. This week, we were able to enter the galleries exhibition spaces and one of Cannon Halls show rooms to demonstrate incidents that may occur when delegates are on duty.
We are delighted to continue our social outreach to cultural venues across the country which have received our training both online and held within their grounds. The next session we will deliver is the CPD certified Introduction to the Protection of Cultural Venues online which delegates from a range of cultural venues and industry professionals attending. This will take place via Zoom on Tuesday 13th September 2022. The feedback we received has been positive and a true reflection of what we hope to bring to each session we deliver. Thank you to the Laing Gallery, Cooper Gallery and Cannon Hall for having us this week.
