Trident Manor Training Academy is proud to be one of the first Highfield Approved centres in the UK to offer the new Level 2 training programme to the security sector. All new Security Industry Authority (SIA) applications must have undertaken training and qualified under the new syllabus in order to meet regulatory compliance and to operate lawfully.
The training is undertaken at our base in the North East of England by our instructors who are highly qualified and renowned for their expert delivery of licensed security activities, in the UK and globally.

About the Security Officer Programme
Since the 1st of April 2021, the SIA has implemented changes to the training requirements for licensed Security Officers operating in the UK, private security industry. These changes have resulted in the introduction of new training content and additional modules that continue supporting the professionalisation of the security sector.
This qualification is designed for any new entrants to the sector without a previous award/qualification conferring full or partial exemption. Following successful completion of the programme learners can apply for SIA Security Officer License to work in the security industry.
The programme consists of a self-study element, (which will be issued several days prior to the course start date) and classroom-based learning, combined theoretical and practical delivery over five days.
Once registered a full set of joining instructions will be issued, followed by self-study learning materials and additional information about the course and other regulatory requirements.
