Since 2022, the cultural sector faced a serious rise in protesters visiting their venues for demonstrations and to disrupt venue operations to gain the attention of the media. We have recorded each protest that has taken place since this surge up to the present day. Below are the findings noted from these events that impacted museums, galleries, archives, and places of worship. In total, we have recorded 118 protests from June 2022 to December 2025.
